Please pray for the men who are and will be ministering the Word--for God's wisdom, for clarity, for edification.
Pray for the church to continue to grow in number, unity, and service to one another and for the prayer meetings (and other gatherings) to be well-attended.
Update on Stan's Health: We thank you all for your prayers and reaching out to us--our hearts are greatly touched. Current
diagnosis: Bilateral Vestibulopathy (BVP) which is a fancy way of saying "balance issues due to inner ear damage on both sides."
Cure: none (but if caused by viral damage, *may* improve somewhat).
Treatment: Vestibular rehabilitation therapy to help the brain relearn how to balance using available cues.

We are in the States! Join us in giving thanks that we've had smooth travels despite the government shut down. We are also very grateful that Stan has travelled reasonably well despite his balance issues.
***************
We landed in California on Oct. 9th. The first week of our trip was spent in medical appointments and setting up the rest of our trip.
******
The second week we primarily spent in Bremen, Indiana, with Grace Fellowship Church who is one of our original supporting churches--we go back more than 30 years together!
Stan taught a session of the men's discipleship class as well as ministering a full Lord's Day: Missions reports during Sunday school and preaching in their morning and evening services.

At their Ladies' Conference, Vicki presented three talks on the theme: Let Your Light So Shine which were well-received and appreciated.
We also spent much time in sweet fellowship with the saints, enjoying great food and lively, edifying conversations.

Please pray for those who heard God's Word, that all would take to heart the truths proclaimed and be moved to go forth and live for the glory of God.

This week we are in Washington, DC, and will be catching up with some family and friends, including a former missionary to Montenegro. Such a small world!
******
Our final two weeks will be spent in California. We've been slow to fill this time up as Stan is trying to schedule those recommended vestibular therapy appointments. (Please pray for this--so few openings!)
However, we will visit a new-to-us church, Ranch View Baptist, in Encinitas, CA, the first weekend in November. Stan will give both a Mission's report and preach Sunday morning.
We will also spend time with friends and family before heading back to Montenegro on Nov. 18th.
Please pray for all these visits--for encouragement and sharpening and rest, that we return excited and charged up to do our part in God's work in Nikšić and throughout Montenegro.

Bits and Pieces:
We give praise that though Vicki left her kindle on the plane flying into Chicago, it was *found* and she was able to reclaim it on her way out. O Happy Day!
The All-Montenegro Believer's Meeting (where all believers from all the churches join for a day of fellowship, teaching, and encouragement) will be held Sat., Nov. 1st. Please pray for continued unity amongst God's people that we might be a bright witness to the nation.

Join us in giving thanks for all the good things the Lord is doing! May His name be ever more glorified!
We so appreciate your earnest prayers, your sacrificial support, your quick notes and cards, and the blessing of working together for God's name to be exalted here in Montenegro.
One with you in Christ,

Stan and Vicki Surbatovich
Vicki's Snapshot: On hold til November due to travels and speaking engagements.
