In our regular services, Stan wrapped up John 10 this past Sunday. While some wanted to stone Jesus for telling the truth I and My Father are one (v. 30); the chapter ends triumphantly: And many believed in Him (v. 42). Please pray that we here in Nikšić could say the same!
In our evening service, Stan has begun preaching through the Book of Revelation with an introductory look at the big picture and themes as well as the immediate message of comfort and challenge to the seven churches.
The Logos Hope ministry ship (a part of Operation Mobilization) is coming this fall to Montenegro! The ship itself will have multiple events and outreaches while also selling Christian and non-Christian books at very reasonable prices. We have the possibility of hosting a small team here in Nikšić as well. Please pray for both the advance team setting up the logistics and for us to wisely determine the best way to maximize the benefits offered by this coming event.
Our Hospitality Ministry keeps bringing us people from all over! Just in the past few weeks we met and/or hosted families from Germany, The Netherlands, Britain, Serbia, Russia, and the States. These are times of mutual service and refreshment. Quick Highlights: - Our translator has nearly completed Good News for Anxious Christians. Praise God! Pray for her last push and for next steps in proofing and editing.
- Since we last wrote, the Montenegrin Government under went a vote of No Confidence and fell. Thus, the Protestant Church-Government agreement mentioned last month has been delayed but not stopped. Do pray that the process would pick up again soon.
With great love and appreciation for your steadfast prayers and support to make this all happen,Stan and Vicki Surbatovich
